Conserving Electricity

Do you know electricity prices are going up? Do you know why? If yes, save the situatiion! If you want to salvage the situation, you must first understand the process to create electricity.
Water is at first heated, using oil, coal and natural gases. The steam produced turns the turbine, which is connected to the generator. The generator will turn too and create electricity.
The main point is coal and oil are running out. Scienctists of1987 predicted that oil will run out 33 years later. Coal is another major problem. Coal needs years, decades, centurys before it can be created. Coal cannot be renewed. If theses resources runs out, there will also be no electricity.
If there is no electricity, there will be no light, no heat. Imagine. If there is no elctricity, won't you be sad? When walking in a dark street, there is no light. You cannot see whats ahead
and worse stil, cannot go home.If there is no electricity, there will be a boring life, a life that requires you to survivie in the dark.
So, what are you waiting for? Although about 75% of the people save electricity, its never enough. A simple task of switching off the t.v. helps. So, start saving electricity now!

My Holidays(THe Last Week)

Time REALLY flies. Its already the last week of my holidays. I just can't beleive it! Well the fourth week of my holidays is quite sad. Do you know why? Thats is because it is the last week of my holidays. From Monday to Wednesday, I atteded a course on video editing. It was an interesting course. The trainers there are Mr. Lee and Mr. Wong. They taught us how to shoot a short movie that last for around 10 minutes from different angles and also different ways. Theways are close-up, miid-shot, long shot, and very long shot. We also work in pairs to edit the movie. Whew! It was hard work. We spent 3hours in front of the computers. Actually, my partner didn't do anything except to play with the computer. Weel, I won't tell you who is my partner because he is going to scream at me if I told you. Well, the rest of the week is as normal. If you want to know something more, ask me!

My Holidays(Week 3)

Jinkies! The third week of my holidays is already here! Time relly flies. I managed to finished all my assesment books. My mum also brought me to to watch a movie. The movie is named"X-Men(The last stand)". Cool, isn't it? Actually, the tickets to the X-Men show was bought by my mother's best friend. I went into the cinema with my cousin, who is my mother's best friend's son. There is only one word to describe the show, facinating. Accompanied by the powerful air-con, large screen, deep bass and super duper loud noises, the show ended at around 2.30pm. I felt totally reluctant. Anyway, I also went to the Night Safari. It was so exciting. I saw the tapir, elephant, lion, tiger, gaint anteater, deer, antelope and many more animals. The best animal I saw was the Striped Hyena. I was a carnivore and I heard that its teeht are capable of ripping a chicken apart and a tiger if they travel in groups. Well, I'm also going to Sentosa this Saturday. Whew, there is so much to talk about. If you want any information on my third week of my holidays, I am quite willing to tell you. Well, see you next time. Bye!

My Holidays(Week 2)

Well, the second week of my holidays is kind of..........boring. I just did my boring and toturing assesment books everyday for two whole long hours. Everyday is just English and Chinese, English and Chinese and I think I could even sleep upon seeing the assesment book. It looks like the best thing in the second week of the holidays is the computer games. At least I had some fun from the half an hour of computer games. Atcually, I stayed at home for the whole week, so there is not much to write. Looks like I can't even type 100 words. Maybe, next week may be better, who knows?

My Holidays(Week 1)

Well, the first week of my holidays is quite interesting. The most exiciting event that happened during the first week of my holidays is my BB(Boys' Brigade) camp.We went to the DBS chalet to camp.It was fun-filled with activities and games. The only part I dislike about the camp is the officer or the other teachers in charge to scream and shout at us. I almost forgot to tell you, it was a 3 day 2 night camp. On the second night, the officers brought us to the Musical Fountain to view the show that is screening. We were lucky that we managed to catch the last show which is showing at 8.30pm. The show used laser beams to create the monkey, the monster, robot and many other things. The main character of the show was Kiki, a monkey that calls himself magical and claims to be from the other side of Sentosa, the magical side. On the third day, we all left reluctantly for home. On Wednesday and Thursday, I went to the Stopmotion Animation course. The teacher in charge was Mr. Lee. He taught us how to make movies using the computer, plasticine and camcorder. The course was quite interesting. It was indeed a pleasure to view the movie that we made using hard work at the end of the course. For the rest of my first week of my holidays, I played computer games. The only sad part was that I was forced to do assesment books which my mother bought for me. They were so very boring that I think that I could almost fall asleep after doing them. Well, thats all for the first wee of my holidays and remember to watch out for the entry for next week. It may be even more exciting, who knows?

Why is Raffles so highly respected?

Sir Stamford Raffles founded Singapore. Its, of course, common that we, Singaporeans respect him. He helped Singapore took the first step to self goverment. I say this as he helped us break free from Malaysia. This is also counted as the first step although the British took over Singapore for quite some time. He also found lots and lots of plants and animals not founded sosome of them are named after him. One of the schools in Singapore that is named after him is the "Raffles Instituition". One of the flowers named after him is the Rafflesia. It is the biggest flower in the whole world currently. It smells like rotting flesh. It is also the national flower of Malaysia. Until now, Sir Stamford Raffles is still respected by all........

What biome will I live in?

I will choose to live in the rainforest as the rainforest has many different kinds of animals and plants for me to admire. I will survive by hunting animals for food and plants, of course for nutrients. I will also use the rivers as the source of water. It will be indeed very fun for me, a boy who lives a city life to live in the rainforest if there is a chance.
